    Baby #2 Announcement

While at my doctors appointment this past week I realized that I am just over halfway through this pregnancy. I guess some second child factors have already kicked in. I’m definitely not keeping up with each weekly growth stage as I did the first time I was pregnant, but I’m sure that happens to a lot of moms. It is so hard to believe that we will be meeting our new baby in just four months. Since I haven’t been making any announcements or posts about it, I thought I would take this time and make one big post about what all has been happening with little #2.  Baby Bump…

    Pregnancy Fears

One of my biggest fears of ever getting pregnant and becoming a mommy was that I would lose me. I never wanted to lose sight of the person that I was. My personality, my humor, and my free spirit were things that I loved about myself, but I always knew that would change if I were to ever carry and then raise a child. This fear was partially the reason I waited until I was well into my 20s to even start trying for a baby. This change is something I had seen over and over again amongst friends. Even though no one plans for it or may not want…

Fun Things To Do While Pregnant And Waiting

When I first found out I was pregnant I was so overjoyed with what was to come. The only issue was that I didn’t know what to do next. Being this was my first pregnancy, I didn’t already have kids to care for and not a huge social life to top it off. My life was very routine. I would go to work, spend time with my husband, waste lots of time browsing the web, pour more money into my “crafting” hobby, and hanging with friends on the weekend. But now with this news, everything was different… well, I thought it was supposed to be already, but nothing changed right…

    Gender Reveal

Like many women of this time and in my generation, I wanted to find out the sex of my unborn child as soon as possible and I wanted to celebrate it with a party filled with family, friends, and, of course, lots of food. In the planning stages I had come up with several elaborate ideas of exactly how my baby’s gender was going to be revealed to my husband and I. Pinterest boards, Google searches, and unique interest collaborations were all explored. For me, this had to be something big and distinctive. My husband, on the other hand, wanted something very simple and clean. I had thoughts of colored…

    My Pregnancy Craving (Music)

Since the beginning of my pregnancy, I have not had many food cravings, but rather music cravings. From the moment that I became pregnant, it seems as though my music likings changed instantly. Before I was pregnant I would listen to an assortment of different types of music, but it mostly consisted of rap and hip-hop. Artists like Drake, Usher, and Lil Wayne were constantly being shuffled through on my phone. It was very weird to me that all of a sudden I could not stomach hearing any of that type of music anymore. I would become almost nauseous and very irritated even trying to listen to my old favorite…

    You Know You’re Pregnant When….

While browsing through the pregnancy forums on whattoexpect.com I stumbled across a header titled You Know You’re Pregnant When… Most forums topics are very boring to me, but this one seemed like it had the potential to be very interesting, and that it was. I found myself scrolling page after page laughing and relating to other women’s pregnancies. After about an hour of this, I decided to make my own list.   You Know You’re Pregnant When….   Your hunger is never ending and the people in your house know what foods they are and are not allowed to eat. Cereal is your go-to meal… at any hour. Trying to…
